sustained injuries

see what happens when you get the wrong size ski shoes and actually ski (or at least, move) 10k in them.

exhibit a. 3 layers of bloodied socks. from left to right, innermost to outermost sock. all worn on the right foot on the day of injury.




exhibit b. blister on right foot, day 3. skin was peeled off 12hrs earlier.

bruises from surfing, blisters from skiing. let's see what i get after i go rock climbing.

it's the back of my foot / heel. i thought you would have gathered as much from the socks. but anyway.

and insurance doesn't cover this, i'd have to say. what, i charge them for band-aids??? durr.

hey, i DIDN'T know they were the wrong size until i saw my feet bleeding. AFTER the 10k run. first time skiing - how was i supposed to know how ski shoes feel? durr.

aargh. the sight of blood makes my knees wobbly. i never thought you could get those from skiing.

so where do you plan to go rock climbing? i hope you choose the right shoes (and shoe size) this time. tc! =)

rock climbing in greece maybe =D i'm also considering joining a marathon in june, or a short 10k run in may. (both in edinburgh.) have to wait for my feet to heal before i start training, though. eeps.
